FITspiration
A Year In Review
Since September, FITspiration has been working on numerous competition entries and tasks for Virtual Enterprise International. Employees of FITspiration work in five different departments to simulate a professional working environment: Information Technology, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Human Resources. IT recently received "honorable mention" for their website, and a team of students who worked on a video to pitch FITspiration's product, the FITsoleution, placed in the top 10% of the submissions. FITspiration's video commercial placed in the top 25 % of submissions as well. Moreover, since competing at the regional business plan competition this past January, FITspiration's business plan team advanced to the National Business Plan Competition in April.
In addition to a donation from the Fox Run Group, two students worked tirelessly to obtain two grants worth $2,500, respectively, from Investor's Bank and Roma Bank to make all of this possible. Opportunities thrive within the classroom as Virtual Enterprise graduates, mentors, and NFL football players speak to the class about determination, humility, and work ethics. In the photo above, the class is joined by Kashif Moore of the Kansas City Chiefs as well as Mohamed Sanu and Nick Williams of the Atlanta Falcons. Also, Human Resources ran many different workshops to enhance communication and build a tight-knit company. In particular, the students loved participating in a "Chopped"-style cooking competition. We are very proud of FITspiration's accomplishments under the leadership of our current CEO, Rachel Wierzbowski, and can't wait to see what Robbinsville's FITspiration employees accomplish next year!
